How to create audio postcards with MP3 Sound Stream
Today in this lesson I want to take you through the process of using audio postcards to promote your website or introduce a product.
These audio postcards are very powerful and as our statement on our home page says we want to put you in full control. Most of the other programs provide you with their generic postcards however I am going to show you how to make them for your self or your friends and customers.
What is an Audio Postcard.
Here are some samples I whipped up in a few minutes. I have only put the audio on one as you would normally only do one per page and have the audio start on open and play once. You can set this in the options part of MP3 Sound Stream. Go to Instructions and choose option "F". Initially playing, plays sound once.
The beauty of audio postcards is you can also make them search engine and meta tag rich so they act just like a mini site. Just get you keywords and text to match closely.
You build a postcard very much the same as you build any webpage. You can also make them as a pop up. Unfortunately most email clients run their security on high so we no longer embed them in emails. Usually you would add a graphic of a button or something similar and when the reader clicks they are taken to the postcard.
What Are they used for?
Audio postcards can be used for a wide variety uses.
-
Promote a specific Product
-
Create awareness of a specific service
-
Be a link from a sig file as an introduction
-
Family greeting and special occasions
-
Conference introduction and promotions
-
Music album or book releases
-
Send one to your family
-
And so much more!
How to create an Audio Postcard.
The audio postcard is usually very specific and targeted. The first thing is to create your audio file. You have already learnt how to do this. When creating your audio make sure it is specific towards the topic.
Now use MP3 Sound Stream software to create your streaming audio files. Make sure you choose the play on start which is the "F" choice in the instructions tab.
Choose your design. There are plenty of free graphic or photo sites on the Internet or create your own. If you find it a little difficult then copy mine and just change the text.
Finally insert your new audio and publish.
NB – Remember that you cannot add an audio on top of a graphic so how you do this is create a table and then make your graphic the background. Make the table exactly the same dimensions as you graphic. You can then just place your audio on top. Use another table to get it exactly in the right place if you need to. Feel free to copy mine to see how it is done.
